Durkan wins Considerate Constructors Award for work in Woolwich

We are delighted to have been nationally recognised for our excellence approach to construction by winning a Considerate Constructors Award last week.

The award was for our redevelopment project at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich.

The prestigious award recognises sites that show exceptional consideration towards local neighbours, the wider public, its workforce and the environment.

Each of these areas were scrutinised during two separate site visits by an assessor for the Considerate Constructors Scheme, with Durkan rated as either ‘excellent’ or ‘exceptional’ across the board.

The team received the Bronze Award at a dedicated ceremony on Friday (27 April).

Tony Gallagher, Project Director, said: “We’re delighted to receive this award for our work at RMA Woolwich. We always strive to meet the highest possible standards not only in construction but in working alongside communities too. We pride ourselves on being a good employer and a good neighbour so it’s fantastic to have all of our hard work on this recognised.”

The award was presented to Durkan in recognition of Phase Four of its development work at RMA Woolwich which delivered the final 77 homes of the 328-home project.

The luxury one to five-bedroom apartments offer owners the opportunity to live in expertly restored grade II listed surroundings, steeped in history. Those interested in a property here should visit theacademywoolwich.co.uk.
