Daniel Durkan


Danny has been leading the business since the retirement of his father - and company founder - William Durkan in 2010.

As Executive Chairman, Danny has a hands-on approach developing strategies to further grow the business through joint ventures, new build housing developments and the private rental sector.

Jim Briggs


Jim has extensive experience from across the construction process. Since joining Durkan as a trainee surveyor in 1978, he has gained experience in various roles including surveying, estimating, design coordination and contract management. 

As Managing Director, Jim oversees business development, bid procurement, operational performance and company profitability.

Ronan Murphy


Ronan is an experienced Group Finance Director. As a specialist in property and infrastructure Ronan has a strong track record in residential investment, development and construction.

As Durkan's Group Finance Director, Ronan is responsible for developing and delivering financial strategy.

Brian Williams


After joining Durkan in 1985 as a surveyor, Brian has worked his way up the ranks from Chief Surveyor to Surveying Director.

Brian works closely with the Managing Director to deliver operational and commercial success for the business. He is integral to the smooth running of projects and satisfaction of our customers.


Fraser Wells


Fraser is a specialist in residential development with a particular emphasis on creating public-private partnerships having worked in both publicly quoted and private companies.

His strength lies in creating the right commercial solution, understanding the different drivers and cultures between various stakeholders and working closely with all to ensure a successful delivery.

Ian Cresswell


With over 20 years’ safety leadership experience, Ian has a passion for the delivery and continual improvement of all HSE&Q programs and initiatives.

Ian is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of our UKAS accredited management systems and embeds the highest standards into our business to instil a pro-active approach towards safety.

Dean Martin


Dean started as an apprentice and has worked his way up to Construction Director overseeing contracts up to a value of £100 million.

He is responsible for all Durkan new build and refurbishment contracts and ensures the end product is achieved with the required safety, quality, cost certainty & satisfaction that our customers demand.

Martin McAtamney

Pre-Construction, Design, Technical & Quality Director

Martin leads the pre-construction, design, technical and quality teams working collaboratively to  deliver best value through excellence in  design and specification that best suit  Durkan, our partners  and our customers.

Adept at working on complex projects, Martin works closely with our joint venture partners and external stakeholders to deliver excellence.

David Murray


David brings 40 years of construction industry experience ranging from site operations to commercial and bid management.

As Bid Director, his focus is on ensuring our bid proposals offer a flexible and pro-active approach to meet and exceed the needs of our partners and their projects.

Daren Nathan


Responsible for new business, Daren works closely with housing associations and local authorities as well as Government agencies.

He operates in a strategic role ensuring a structured approach to policy changes, market dynamics and the impact of funding streams with the goal to establish the right solutions for our partners.

Shane Rooney


Shane has a strong commercial approach to business and over 27 years’ experience in construction.

As Commercial Director, Shane is responsible for overseeing the commercial functions of surveying and procurement with the aim to achieve the best combination of value, quality and sustainability to meet customer requirements.
